Building & Safety
The Building & Safety Division ensures construction in Ventura County meets state and local safety standards. We issue and manage building permits, conduct inspections, and enforce codes for fire, structural, and energy safety. Visit our Simi Valley or Ventura offices for permit assistance. Environmental Health
The Environmental Health Division safeguards public health and the environment by enforcing state and county regulations. We conduct inspections, offer workshops, and take necessary enforcement actions. Our team collaborates with various agencies and provides crucial advice, especially during emergencies like earthquakes, fires, and disease outbreaks.
Planning
The Planning Division oversees land use and zoning in Ventura County’s unincorporated areas. Code Compliance
